Fox Farms: Win-Win Opportunity

What you sow is what you reap and Fox Farms helps kids learn responsibility and patience in a fun environment. Every child gets one square foot in which to plant and expert guidance is offered by master gardeners and parents.

A key part of making Fox Farms a success is having an assigned person for each class. These volunteers will be called “Farm Hands”. The role is simple and here are the key points:

  • Be a point person for your class’s raised bed & walk by perhaps once a week to take a look and make sure all is well.
  • If weeding, more watering, etc. is needed, encourage the students to come by and tend to their squares.
  • No prior experience is needed  (it’s easy … the plants grow by themselves …they just need water & sunshine…)
